1. 1 cup Sorghum Millet Upma Rava
2. 2 tbsp oil
3. 1 tsp mustard seeds
4. 1 tsp cumin seeds
5. 1 medium onion, finely chopped
6. 2 green chilies, finely chopped
7. 1-inch piece of ginger, finely chopped
8. 1/4 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, bell peppers, etc.), finely chopped
9. 1/4 cup roasted peanuts
10. Salt to taste
11. 2 cups water
12. Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
13. Lemon wedges (optional)
1. In the pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
2. Add cumin seeds and sauté for a few seconds until they release their aroma.
3. Add chopped onions, green chilies, and ginger. Sauté until the onions turn translucent.
4. Add mixed vegetables and sauté for a couple of minutes until they are partially cooked.
5. Now, add the roasted peanuts and mix well.
6. Pour water into the pan and add salt according to taste.
7. Let the water come to a boil. Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat to low.
8. Gradually add the Roasted Sorghum Millet Upma Rava (jowar) while stirring continuously to prevent lump formation.
9. Cover the pan with a lid and let it simmer on low heat for 5-7 minutes or until the sorghum millet (jowar) is cooked and water is absorbed.
10. Once done, turn off the heat and let it sit for a couple of minutes.
11. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
12. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side (optional).
