Yellow Sorghum Upma

Ingredients

1.1 cup yellow sorghum rava
2.2 tbsp oil
3.1 tsp mustard seeds
4.1 tsp urad dal
5.1 small onion, finely chopped
6.2 green chilies, finely chopped
7.1/4 tsp turmeric powder
8.Salt to taste
9.Water
10.Coriander leaves, chopped for garnishing

Cooking Instruction

1.Heat a pan on an induction or gas stove. Dry roast 1 cup of Pillai’s Yellow Sorghum rava and set aside.
2. In the same pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil, 1 tablespoon of mustard seeds, chana dal and urad dal, a few curry leaves, 2 chopped green chilies, 1 chopped onion, and saute well. 3.Add 2 ½ – 3 cups of water and the required salt, bring them to a boil, and then add the roasted rava and wait for 5-8 minutes. 4.A healthy Yellow Sorghum rava upma is now ready.
