Mappillai Samba Upma

Ingredients

1. 1 cup Mappillai Samba Rice Rava
2. 2 cups water
3. 1 onion, chopped
4. 1 green chili, chopped
5. 1 tsp mustard seeds
6. 1 tsp urad dal
7. 1 tsp chana dal
8. 1 tbsp oil
9. Salt to taste
10. Coriander leaves, chopped for garnish

Cooking Instruction

1.Heat a pan on an induction or gas stove. Dry roast 1 cup of Pillai’s Mappillai Samba Rice rava and set aside. 2.In the same pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil, 1 tablespoon of mustard seeds, chana dal and urad dal, a few curry leaves, 2 chopped green chilies, 1 chopped onion, and saute well. 3.Add 2 ½ – 3 cups of water and the required salt, bring them to a boil, and then add the roasted rava and wait for 5-8 minutes. 4.A healthy mappillai samba rice rava upma is now ready.
