1.1 cup Pearl Millet Desi / Nattu Kambu Rava
2.2 cups water
3.2 tbsp oil
4.1 tsp mustard seeds
5.1 tsp cumin seeds
6.1 onion, finely chopped
7.1 green chili, chopped
8.1/2 inch ginger, grated
9.1/4 tsp turmeric powder
10.Salt to taste
11.Coriander leaves, chopped for garnishing
1.Heat a pan on an induction or gas stove. Dry roast 1 cup of Pillai’s Pearl Millet Rava (Desi) and set aside. 2.In the same pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil, 1 tablespoon of mustard seeds, chana dal and urad dal, a few curry leaves, 2 chopped green chilies, 1 chopped onion, and saute well. 3.Add 2 ½ – 3 cups of water and the required salt, bring them to a boil, and then add the roasted rava and wait for 5-8 minutes. 4.A healthy upma is now ready.
