1.1 cup suji / rava
2.2 cups water
3.1 onion, finely chopped
4.1 green chilli, finely chopped
5.1/2 inch ginger, grated
6.1 tsp mustard seeds
7.1 tsp cumin seeds
8.1/2 tsp urad dal (split black gram)
9.1/2 tsp chana dal (split Bengal gram)
10.1 sprig curry leaves
11.2 tbsp premium sunflower oil
12.Salt, to taste
13. Coriander leaves, for garnishing
1.Heat a pan on an induction or gas stove.
2. Dry roast 1 cup of Pillai’s Suji/Rava rava and set aside. In the same pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil, 1 tablespoon of mustard seeds, chana dal and urad dal, a few curry leaves, 2 chopped green chilies, 1 chopped onion, and saute well.
3. Add 2 1⁄2 cups of water and the required salt, bring them to a boil, and then add the roasted rava and wait for 5-8 minutes. Rava upma is now ready.
