Ingredients

Hand pound ponni rice pongal

1. 1 cup Kaikuthal Ponni Rice
2. 3 cups water
3. Salt
4.1/2 cup of moong dal

1.1 cup of hand pound ponni rice
2.Add 3tsp Oil
3.1 Chopped Onion
4.1 tomatoes
5.2 green chillies
6.Carrots
7.beans
8.Granish with coriander leaves
9.Mint leaves

Cooking Instruction

1. Take a glass of Pillai’s unpolished & parboiled Hand Pound Ponni rice.
2. Wash the rice and soak it for 2-3 hours in 3–4 glasses of water.
3. Pressure cook the rice with the soaked water, and add the required salt.
4. Wait for five whistles to sound. Then, keep the flame low and allow it to cook for another 10 minutes, leaving it for three whistles. If you find some excess water, just strain it.
Now, the healthy Hand Pound Ponni rice is ready.
